The mission of Countryside Learning is a simple one. It is to educate, inform and inspire children, parents and teachers, so they can enjoy and appreciate the countryside while having a greater understanding of the wide range of issues surrounding it.

    Woodland Sessions

    We run free of charge woodland days on the Ledston Estate, near Castleford, West Yorkshire, Woodhall Estate, Hertfordshire, Farleigh Wallop Estate Estate in Hampshire and the Otterden Estate, near Faversham, Kent. The site at Ledston also has a warm, dry Education Centre.

    Countryside Classroom Days

    The opportunity for schools to visit country estates and for the children to learn about what is involved in the management of such an estate and to meet the people who work there.

    An Uplands Education Programme run in conjunction with BASC and various Regional Moorland Groups in the first week of July.
