The day will be centred at Hall Barn, Great Thurlow and will include demonstrations and visits to the following Estate activities:

Farming – The arable farming process including the machinery and the food production process from field to table. The livestock including the suckler herd and the sheep flock.

Woodland Management – Three demonstrations to show the full life cycle of the woodland from seed collection to timber processing, including the environmental benefit of active woodland management.

The Thurlow Foxhounds – A visit to the Hunt Kennels to meet the hounds and the working horses as well as the terrier man and his terriers and ferrets.

Gamekeeping – Game bird rearing, working retrievers and the environmental benefit of vermin control.
