Countryside Classroom Days

We are grateful to the The CLA Charitable Trust, for their generous grant that will go towards our Countryside Classroom Programme.

For our nationwide Countryside Classroom Programme, we work in partnership with country estate owners to provide outdoor classrooms, where a variety of activities are on offer for a number of primary schools. We provide first-hand experience of where their food comes from and how it is produced, together with other aspects of the countryside. Food, farming and nature can link to many curriculum areas.

Twilight Pre-Visit

A twilight pre-visit briefing session will take place prior to the Countryside Classroom Day. This session is a pre-requisite to the CC Day as teachers will need to prepare appropriately for the day and vital instructions will be given in the briefing session. It is essential that at least one Teacher per school attends the PVB. They normally start at 4pm or 4.30pm until 6pm.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the estate owners and their staff for allowing us to use their property for these events. In addition, the events would not be possible without the generous support of those grant-giving trusts whose contributions enable us to run them. We are grateful to the the Fred and Marjorie Sainsbury trust for their support in funding our Countryside Classroom Days.
